This year we drove to Florida for Christmas to spend some time with family. The main goal was to visit Great Papaw and see much of the Haney family. There was tons of food and even more laughter and while we were all sad that Great Mamaw wasn't there, we felt she was there in spirit. The kids enjoyed the attention of a big family Christmas and were very well behaved. Peter charmed everyone with his exuberance and Abby did a veritable princess fashion show. The white elephant gift exchange was a hit - especially the 'Support Farting' ribbon and cream candy!
We were also lucky enough to see Anne-Marie and Greg for an afternoon at Disney Village. It was a lot of fun, especially the visit to the magician's shop, which Peter still talks about. We rounded out the trip by visiting Dad and Susan at the farm. We all enjoyed walking around the farm and feeding the cows treats. The drawing is Peter feeding the cows. Hopefully we'll get to post a picture of Abby in her butterfly wings playing the "Cow Fairy". I'm hoping Dad and Susan won't be barred from their favorite watering hole after Abby wore her Snow White/Cow Fairy ensemble to lunch!
The trip back was uneventful....long hours of watching pine trees go by and being thankful we weren't in the traffic heading Southbound on 95. We spent the rest of our time off recovering from the whirlwind trip, barely leaving the house for more than groceries and a visit with our friends the Hunts. All in all, good times :)

What a great picture! Lots of detail for a kindergartener! I can't wait to see the Cow Fairy...cracks me up just to say the name!
