(...........Cue Star Wars music.......)
The kids have discovered the wonders of Star Wars. We actually worked backwards from the Lego Star Wars games to the movies and toys, but despite our circuitous route, we are officially a Star War family. As I write this, Peter and Abby (aka Luke and Leia) are playing it in the living room. The best I can make out they've defeated the Emperor (twice), gone to Jedi training school and are feeding and dressing Chewbacca. (Abby is petitioning for them to go to Ballerina school, but Peter is addressing that request the best way possible, he is ignoring it....).
For me the most fun is watching how they integrate Star Wars into their lives and vice versa. For example:
- Peter sitting and staring at his dinner plate trying to use the Force to eat.
- Abby declaring out of the blue that robots don't have tongues.
- Both kids referring to to Darth Maul as Dark Mold
- The kids pretending to go to "Jedi School" and Abby getting a 'scratch and sniff' sticker from Master Yoda.
- The mixing up of the small blue Pokemon character "Wobeffet" with the more sinister Boba Fett.
