Trust Abby to decide that rather than having an imaginary friend, she is going to have an imaginary PACK OF DOGS! She has a sheet of paper where she has listed out all their names and whether they are a boy or girl, and for the last week or so she's been playing games with them while I cook dinner - giving all 26 of them distinct personalities. Today was a gorgeous day and she decided her dogs needed exercise. She got out two soccer balls - one for the boys and one for the girls and had a kick-off contest. She pretended to be each dog, doing an elaborate warm up before each kick - including yoga stretches, deep breathing (with her eyes closed dramatically!), lunges, head rolls etc. At the same time she was pretending to be the dog warming up, she was also providing her own color commentary. Things like "And here is Prince getting ready, now Prince, he isn't so smart...he doesn't buckle up"....and... "Alexandra is up, can she make it happen? Can she kick the ball without falling?"...and my personal favorite.... "Now Sugar is here, she is very smart, watch how she tucks her shirt into her pants to make it look like it is one piece, all the other girl dogs are doing the same**."
Played that for game for almost two hours! She just cracks me up.
(**Tracy, I know you'll appreciate this, the outfit in question was a white shirt with little orange and pink flower, and the pants had a variety of pink and purple stripes and were about three inches too short, with dirt stains on the knees and butt - apparently the answer to the question about Alexandra was "NO". )

I can't imagine where she got such a vivd imagination. 26 dogs beats singing in the front yard in Mommy's nightgown, though.
And anything beats running around the front lawn naked while her older, wiser, most wonderfullest sister screams out, "Glen, Glen, look at Lori, she's naaaaaaaaked!"
Loved the outfit description. I think we both have pictures of ourselves in that same outfit!
