One unexpectedly lovely thing that is happening this year is that the kids are old enough to know a lot of Christmas songs. I can't decide whether my favorite part is watching Peter singing along with Bruce Springsteen (in the rear view mirror, he is selfconcious enough now to stop if he knows I'm watching) or when we all sing together at the top of our voices. Of course, it also makes for some great kid-isms. I'll add more as I remember them, but these two are my favorites so far...both from Abby:
- "On the Thursday of Christmas my True Love Sent to me...."
- Rudolf Song: "You know Lester and Humper and Conner and Stupid.."
