So after my initial resolution to get back into blogging, I immediately dropped the ball. So, here is my late Thanksgiving update. It was lovely. It ended up just being us this year, but Wayne still went all out making a great meal. He came home a little early on Wednesday and cooked up a lot of the sides and desserts so that on Thursday he could smoke the Turkey. It was amazing to watch, he has the meal down to such an art that you almost would not have known that it was Thanksgiving...no hustle and bustle....just yummy smells throughout the day. Wayne had the kids pick out different things to make and we took turns helping them out. Otherwise we sat by the fire, played games, watched the parade and dog show if we happened into the livingroom and generally enjoyed our day. It really did make me appreciate our blessings, and this year there have been so many for us, and we've been privileged to be a witness to other people's blessings as well.
